Community Guidelines

Scroll Home is a place to discover property. Comments, profiles, and listings should keep it useful and respectful. By posting on Scroll Home you agree to these guidelines. They apply everywhere you can post or share: comments, your profile, your name and photo, listings, and anything you send through the app.

What we expect

  • Be respectful to other people.
  • Keep comments relevant to the property or the conversation.
  • Post honestly. Don't mislead people about a property, a price, or who you are.
  • Respect other people's privacy and their work.

What's not allowed

  • Harassment and bullying. No targeting, threatening, intimidating, or abusing anyone.
  • Hate speech. No content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, sex, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Sexual or explicit content. No nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit material.
  • Child safety. Absolutely no content that sexually exploits, endangers, or abuses children. We report child sexual abuse material to law enforcement and the relevant child-protection authorities.
  • Violence. No threats of violence, or content that promotes or glorifies it.
  • Illegal content or activity. Nothing unlawful, and nothing that encourages it.
  • Spam. No repetitive posting, irrelevant promotion, or mass unsolicited messages.
  • Impersonation. Don't pretend to be someone else, another agent, or another business.
  • Other people's private information. Don't post someone's personal details without their permission.
  • Infringing content. Don't post photos, videos, or text that aren't yours to use.
  • Personal contact details. Don't put phone numbers, emails, or addresses in comments or profiles, your own or anyone else's. Keep enquiries in the app.

Listings

If you post property listings, these apply to you too.

  • List honestly. Use real photos and video of the actual property, with the correct price and availability. No bait-and-switch.
  • No discrimination. Listings and comments must not discriminate against people based on protected characteristics. This includes blanket bans such as "No DSS" or refusing people because they receive benefits.
  • Don't manipulate engagement. No fake comments on your own listings, no fake or multiple accounts, and nothing designed to inflate how popular a listing looks.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. Every comment, listing, and profile has a report option. Reports come to our team and we review them. You can also block another user so you no longer see their comments.

What happens when guidelines are broken

We review reported content and anything we find ourselves. Depending on what's involved, we may remove the content, remove a listing, or suspend or remove the account. Serious or repeated breaches lead to a permanent ban.
